Join @GURUDB2 John Campbell, IBM Distinugished Engineer. John will introduce and discuss opportunities available in DB2 10 and 11 for z/OS to use larger size real memory to reduce performance cost through reduced CPU resource consumption and improved elapsed times for transactions and batch processing. The following specific target areas will be covered: larger local and group buffer pools, use of large page size frames, thread reuse with RELEASE(DEALLOCATE) for IMS/TM and CICS and DDF applications, larger global and local dynamic statement cache, and in-memory data cache.

This is a unique opportunity to catch the top hints and tips from John, there will also be an opportunity for a live Q&A session.

  • I re-registered.  I used the tool to add the calendar entry to my calendar.  The URL that appears in my calendar entry sent me right back to the page I received when I registered.  Maybe the URL will direct me to the webcast tomorrow.

  • I registered but did not receive an acknowledgement.  Please let me know what the URL is for the webinar.
