An introduction will be provided on what is a log RBA and an LRSN value, and where and how these values are used by DB2. The main part of the session will be spent talking about the issues with the existing 6-byte format, the solution to these issues provided in DB2 11 to allow for extended 10-byte format, how to convert over and the controls around it. The session will conclude by providing recommended proven best practices on how migrated to the extended values safely.
