Abstract:

The accelerator is continuously enhanced with new features for hybrid transactional analytical processing (HTAP). By integrating the IBM DB2 Analytics Accelerator, users can run complex queries and transformations in DB2 for z/OS and get sub-second response times, without affecting the production workload. The DB2 Analytics Accelerator Architecture Workshop is a half-day, interactive session that will help you understand this new technology up to the latest available version and how this can help you in improving your performance and cost of your DB2 for z/OS based Data Warehouse and related analytical business processes. This workshop is for everybody who wants to get up to speed with the latest version of IBM DB2 Analytics Accelerator and understand the technical processes that happen 'under the covers'.

Speaker Bio:
Eberhard is an Executive Architect from the IBM Germany R&D Lab. He is a member of DB2 Analytics Accelerator development. After 2.5 years at the IBM Kingston Lab in New York, he worked in SW development, performance optimization, IT/solution architecture & design, Hadoop and Spark integration and MDM.
He began to work with DB2 for MVS, focusing on testing and performance measurements. He has worked worldwide with IBM clients from various industries on a vast number of topics, such as DWH and BI solutions, information architectures, and industry solutions.
From 2011-2014, he was at IBM Singapore, working as the Lead Big Data Architect in the Communications Sector of IBM’s Software Group.
He is a member of the IBM Academy of Technology Leadership Team, and co-authored the following books:

She has co-authored various IBM Redbook publications, focusing on DB2 LUW performance management and DB2 Analytics Accelerator topics.
